(Jakarta News) Vice Chairman of Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association Chen Xin, Secretary General Zhou Weiliang, Supervisory Committee members Chen Bonian, Wu Mingli, Zhong Yanchao, Huang Zhiyong, Chen Yingchu, Chen Yongzhi, Lin Nengying, He Yulu, on the afternoon of February 28, 2024 (Wednesday) At 2 o'clock, we welcomed Chairman Fan Daebo of the Bukyung Chinese Chamber of Commerce in South Korea and Lin Chaesan and Cui Yunxian from the secretariat. We are very happy to be able to hold such a briefing here today to promote South Korea's excellent product technology, so that we in Indonesia can have a good opportunity to communicate face-to-face with your company.
 
Indonesia and South Korea are both members of the G-20 and APEC. They formally established diplomatic relations on September 17, 1973. A large number of Korean companies have set up factories in Indonesia, such as Lotte Department Store, Hankook Tire, Samsung Group, LG Group, and Kia Automobile and Hyundai Group, among others.
 
In the next 50 years, South Korea will shift its focus from developing natural resources and manufacturing investment to a new vision of cooperation with Indonesia in mutually beneficial fields. This mutually beneficial cooperation will cover areas such as information technology, bio-health, climate change, and new and renewable energy development. The leaders of the two countries decided to explore joint efforts to achieve sustainable development. Committed to establishing an electric vehicle ecosystem and smart city development, as well as combating climate change and promoting nuclear energy cooperation.
 
The two heads of state decided to continue to expand trade and investment on the basis of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) that came into effect at the beginning of this year. This is encouraging as more and more Korean companies are involved in the construction of the new capital of East Kalimantan. It is believed that South Korea will be the best partner to realize the "Indonesia 2045 Golden Year" vision proposed by President Joko Widodo.
 
Today, Chairman Fan Dali paid a personal visit. I believe he is also optimistic about the Indonesian market. We welcome Korean companies to visit Indonesia, learn more about the market, invest and build factories in Indonesia, and expand overseas markets. Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association will also actively provide chamber services and provide necessary consultation and related assistance for Korean companies to settle in Indonesia. Finally, I wish you all a fruitful trip to Indonesia and a fruitful return.
 
President Pham Dae-bok of the Buogyeong Chinese Chamber of Commerce in South Korea pointed out that the 2023 Korea-World Chinese Business Week, held in Busan, South Korea from November 22 to 25, 2023, has successfully concluded and successfully brought together Chinese businessmen from all over the world. This visit to Indonesia is entrusted by the Busan City Government to promote Busan's high-tech industries to foreign countries, including bringing these industries to Indonesia for development.
