(Jakarta) A delegation led by Yunnan Provincial Party Committee Secretary Wang Ning, including Deputy Secretary-General Xu Changjiang, Director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Committee Yang Shaocheng, Director of the Department of Culture and Tourism Ma Zhigang, Vice President of the Foreign Friendship Association He Changsong and Office Staff Hao Wenliang, visited Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association at 11 a.m. on May 15, 2025 (Thursday). They were warmly welcomed by Chairman Zhang Jinxiong, Vice Chairman Lin Kexu, Xue Tianzeng, Lian Jiehao, Chen Xin, Jiang Miaocheng, Honorary Chairman Xu Jinxiang, Supervisory Committee Member Chen Boyan, Liang Yuanan, Wang Zhenkun and other directors. The two sides had cordial exchanges and strengthened cooperation.

Chairman Zhang Jinxiong said that on behalf of Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association, I would like to express my warmest welcome and most sincere greetings to Secretary Wang and the delegation!

Zhang Jinxiong said that Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association is a national Chinese business community organization established in accordance with Indonesian laws and regulations. Its member companies cover manufacturing, mining, construction, finance, retail, logistics and other fields. Since its establishment, it has always adhered to the founding purpose of "uniting Chinese business enterprises and promoting Indonesia's economic construction" and actively promoted exchanges and cooperation between Indonesia and China and Chinese businessmen in various countries around the world.

He said that in recent years, Indonesia's economy has always maintained steady growth, with GDP growth rate above 5% all year round. Last year, Indonesia's total economic volume was about 1.4 trillion US dollars, and its per capita GDP was about 4,960 US dollars. In the first quarter of this year, Indonesia's GDP growth rate was 4.87%. Affected by global trade fluctuations, the growth rate was lower than in previous years, but the economic resilience was still significant. In the first quarter, household consumption still contributed the most to Indonesia's GDP, accounting for about 54.53%, far exceeding investment and exports.

Indonesia has always attached great importance to friendly cooperation with China. In recent years, the economic and trade cooperation and cultural exchanges between the two countries have become closer. From the opening of the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway to the industrial linkage of the "two countries, two parks"; from the complementary supply chains of palm oil and nickel ore to the consumer interconnection of e-commerce platforms, the friendly cooperation between the two countries is at its best in history.

Zhang Jinxiong pointed out that Yunnan, as China's open frontier facing South Asia and Southeast Asia, has beautiful scenery and many ethnic groups. It has similar climatic conditions and a diverse and integrated cultural background with Indonesia. The two sides have broad space for cooperation in agriculture, tourism and other fields. We very much welcome the Yunnan Provincial Government and entrepreneurs to visit Indonesia frequently and explore the cooperation potential between the two places in the fields of economy, trade, culture and tourism.

Zhang Jinxiong said that Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association will continue to give full play to the role of the Chamber of Commerce as a bridge and link, and provide necessary consultation and assistance for Yunnan enterprises to invest and land in Indonesia, and wish this trip to Indonesia a successful and fruitful trip.

Wang Ning, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, stated in his speech at the meeting that this trip was to implement the consensus on cooperation and development between the heads of state of China and Indonesia. In addition to introducing the current situation and local conditions of Yunnan Province in depth, he also introduced that it is a model settlement for ethnic minorities.

Wang Ning especially promoted the tourism resources of Yunnan Province, which can attract more than 700 million people or more than 6 million foreign tourists every year. He emphasized that this trip to Indonesia is also to promote the Yunnan Tourism Expo, hoping to cooperate with the Indonesian tourism industry to promote Indonesian tourists to travel to Yunnan Province.
