The Belt and Road Initiative China-Indonesia Business Dialogue was Successfully Held at Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association
(Jakarta) The Belt and Road Initiative China-Indonesia Business Dialogue, themed "Looking to the Future, Sharing New Opportunities for China-Indonesia Cooperation," was held on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at 4:00 PM at Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association headquarters. The dialogue was jointly organized by the China Economic Liaison Center, Kosgoro 1957 (a subsidiary of the Indonesian Professional Group Party), and Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association.
 
More than 50 people attended the event, including Zhang Jinxiong, Chairman of Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association; retired Major General Sudrajat, Senior Advisor; Sahala Lumban Gaol, Director and Supervisor of the Board of Directors; Dr. H.TB.Ace Hasan Syadzily, Director of the Indonesian Institute for Defence Research and Development (LEMHANNAS); Wang Lutong, Chinese Ambassador to Indonesia; Triana Krisandini, Ministerial Commissioner for Green Economy of Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises; Cahyo Purnomo, Director of Investment Promotion of the Ministry of Investment and Downstream Industries of East Asia, South Asia, Middle East and Africa; Ke Zhizhong, Director of the China Economic Liaison Center; a delegation; representatives from relevant departments of local governments, trade and economic organizations, industry associations and entrepreneurs from Guangdong, Shenzhen, Ningxia, Yunnan and Haidian District of Beijing; senior officials of the Indonesian Professional Group Party; heads of Indonesian government economic departments; and representatives of Indonesian industry associations and entrepreneurs.
 
Dr. H.TB.Ace Hasan Syadzily briefly introduced the Indonesian Institute for Defence Research and Development (LEMHANNAS). He said that the LEMHANNAS team is a non-governmental organization under the leadership of the President and is accountable to the President. This organization conducts national-level cadre training and leadership development education. The meeting focused on conceptual and strategic research into various national, regional, and international issues. It also involved confirming national values ​​and conducting national resilience index measurements.
 
He stated that national resilience is the ability to maintain national resilience and resilience while developing national power, such as the various elements of national strategic strength, with a focus on well-being and security.
 
He pointed out that the Indonesian LEMHANNAS working group's work on the Belt and Road Initiative has impacted Indonesia not only in improving its economic and investment environment but also in all aspects of social life, thus influencing national resilience. From a geopolitical perspective, Indonesia's Belt and Road cooperation has an impact on efforts to strengthen bilateral relations among countries, particularly in the ASEAN region.
 
Ambassador Wang Lutong expressed his warm congratulations on the convening of this dialogue on behalf of the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia. He also expressed his sincere gratitude to the business communities of both countries for their long-term efforts in promoting mutually beneficial trade cooperation between China and Indonesia, advancing their respective national development, and enhancing the well-being of their people.
 
Ambassador Wang Lutong stated that the participants in today's dialogue included representatives from government departments, industry associations, and entrepreneurs from Beijing, Guangdong, Ningxia, Yunnan, and other regions in China. These provinces and municipalities possess resource advantages in areas such as trade and investment, technological development, green energy, agriculture, and cultural tourism, and have enormous potential for deepening mutually beneficial cooperation with Indonesia. He expressed hope that through this event, both sides could further explore cooperation potential, complement each other's strengths, achieve mutual benefit and win-win results, and actively contribute to greater achievements in practical cooperation between China and Indonesia.
 
Zhang Jinxiong, Chairman of Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association, stated that the dialogue, themed "Looking to the Future, Sharing New Opportunities for China-Indonesia Cooperation," brought together elites from the political and business sectors of both countries. The gathering of political and business leaders fully demonstrates the strong shared desire of both sides to deepen cooperation and seek common development.
 
We believe that through close cooperation between government departments, businesses, and chambers of commerce of both countries, Indonesia-China economic cooperation will reach a higher level. We also welcome more Chinese entrepreneurs to actively seize the vision of "Golden Indonesia 2045" and turn their attention to this vibrant land of Indonesia! Investing in Indonesia not only targets the unified market of nearly 300 million local people, but also extends to the entire ASEAN market of over 600 million people, and even the broader international market.
 
Zhang Jinxiong further pointed out that Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association will, as always, uphold its founding principle of "uniting Chinese businesses and promoting Indonesia's economic development," fully leveraging the chamber's platform advantages to promote pragmatic cooperation between Indonesia and China in multiple fields, and make positive contributions to the economic development of both regions! Finally, he wished the "Belt and Road" China-Indonesia Business Dialogue a complete success! He also wished for lasting friendship between Indonesia and China, social prosperity, and the happiness and well-being of their people!
 
In his address, Ke Zhizhong, Director of the China Economic Liaison Center, stated that the current relationship between China and Indonesia is at its best historical period. He offered the following three suggestions: 1) To work hand in hand and be upholders of the multilateral trading system. 2) To deepen cooperation and be practitioners of mutual benefit and win-win outcomes. 3) To maintain close exchanges and be good ambassadors for people-to-people connectivity.
 
Ke Zhizhong stated that this dialogue brought together representatives from 17 local government departments, industry associations, and enterprises from Beijing, Yunnan, Ningxia, Shenzhen, and other regions. Going forward, we are willing to continue strengthening exchanges and cooperation with Indonesian political and business figures, industry enterprises, and businesses, working together to make new and greater contributions to building a China-Indonesia community with a shared future.
 
Following this, Dave Akbarshah Fikarno Laksono, Chairman of Kosgoro 1957 (a member of the Indonesian Professional Group Party), and representatives from the Indonesian National Investment Coordinating Board presented Indonesia's investment environment. Representatives from both Chinese and Indonesian companies introduced their respective industries, hoping that this exchange would further expand cooperation between China and Indonesia in areas such as trade and investment.
 
After the successful dialogue, representatives exchanged souvenirs and took a group photo. They then proceeded to the Lotus Hall of the Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta, for a welcome dinner.
