Zhang Jinxiong said that Indonesia is a "country of thousands of islands" consisting of more than 17,000 islands, with rich mineral and natural resources and a diverse and inclusive cultural tradition. As the world's fourth most populous country, it currently has a total population of 280 million, more than half of whom are young people under the age of 30. As the largest economy in Southeast Asia, it is also the only G20 member in ASEAN and the first BRICS country. In recent years, the economic growth rate has been maintained at around 5%. Last year, Indonesia's GDP was about 1.4 trillion US dollars, and its per capita GDP was about 4,960 US dollars. In the first quarter of this year, the economic growth rate reached 4.87%, still showing strong development resilience.
Zhang Jinxiong pointed out that this year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between India and China, and the relationship between the two countries has ushered in a historic opportunity. While political and economic cooperation continues to deepen, cultural and educational exchanges will become the key to consolidating the foundation of public opinion.
Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association will continue to support cultural exchanges between the two countries and actively promote youth talent exchanges, academic cooperation and innovation and entrepreneurship. We believe that the cooperation between Nanjing University and Indonesian universities and enterprises will build a broader growth stage for the youth of the two countries and promote the deep integration of scientific and technological innovation and cultural exchanges.
Zhang Jinxiong said that looking forward to the future, we look forward to working with Nanjing University to deepen cultural and educational exchanges between the two countries, promote more joint research, teacher-student exchanges, talent training and other projects, and jointly cultivate young talents with international vision and innovation capabilities. Let us take the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations as a new starting point to continue writing a new chapter of friendly cooperation between India and China! Finally, I wish the Nanjing University delegation a complete success in this trip to Indonesia!
Suo Wenbin, Vice President of Nanjing University, pointed out that thanks to the careful arrangements of Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association, we have the opportunity to share hometown feelings and seek common development with all outstanding Chinese business representatives in Jakarta. At the same time, Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association has long promoted bilateral trade facilitation, organized corporate visits and industry matchmaking meetings, and promoted the export of Indonesian specialty products to China. Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association actively promotes entrepreneurial spirit, fulfills social responsibilities, sets up special funds to support education poverty alleviation and post-disaster reconstruction, and promotes the popularization of Chinese education and strengthens cultural identity. The multi-dimensional collaborative network not only deepens the China-Indonesia strategic partnership, but also interprets the integration of China and industry and education with pragmatic actions.
