As the world's fourth most populous country, Indonesia has a total population of 281 million, a superior population structure, and a median age of less than 30 years old. The huge demographic dividend provides huge potential and a broad consumer market for Indonesia's economic development!
As the largest economy in ASEAN, Indonesia's GDP in 2023 will be approximately US$1.37 trillion. It is the only country in ASEAN with a GDP of over US$1 trillion, and its economic growth rate has remained above 5% for many years. In the first half of this year, Indonesia's GDP growth rate reached 5.08%, ranking among the top ASEAN countries.
The huge demographic dividend and market, rich natural resources, stable business environment, and positive and friendly investment policies are all important plus points for "investing in Indonesia", and have also attracted a large amount of foreign investment, including Chinese companies, to make Indonesia their "first stop overseas"!
Indonesia also attaches great importance to exchanges and cooperation with China. In 2023, the total bilateral trade volume between the two countries reached US$139.4 billion, and China's direct investment in Indonesia reached US$13.9 billion, of which US$7.4 billion came from mainland China and US$6.5 billion came from Hong Kong, China. China has been Indonesia's largest trading partner and the second largest source of foreign investment for many years.
Lian Jiehao said that Jilin Province is an old industrial base in Northeast China, with strong technical strength and good natural conditions. Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association has always maintained a good communication mechanism with Jilin Provincial Council for the Promotion of International Trade and Jilin Provincial Government. In the future, Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association will continue to play the role of a platform and bridge for the Chamber of Commerce, provide necessary support and assistance for everyone to visit and invest in Indonesia, and contribute positive forces to the economic development of the two countries and regions. Shao Kebin said that Jilin Province is located in the central part of Northeast China, with an area of 187,400 square kilometers and a total population of 23.3941 million. Changchun, the provincial capital, is the political, economic, scientific, educational, cultural, financial and transportation center of the province. It is a famous "auto city", "film city", "science and education cultural city", "forest city" and "sculpture city".
Jilin Province has the advantage of being close to the border and the sea. It is one of the nine border provinces in China and an important window for China's "Belt and Road" to open up to the north. Jilin Province's advantageous industries include automobile industry, agricultural products industry, petrochemical industry, equipment manufacturing industry, satellite industry, medical and health industry, new energy industry, optoelectronic information industry, cultural tourism industry, etc. It is hoped that these industries can seek cooperation opportunities in Indonesia and contribute to the development of economic and trade fields in the two countries and regions.
