They were warmly welcomed by Chairman Zhang Jinxiong, Advisory Committee member Wang Han, Vice Chairmen Liao Yangzong, Lin Songshi, Xue Jingyong, and Wang Chaosheng, Deputy Secretary-General Yang Xinsheng, and Director Li Jiangbo.

Chairman Zhang Jinxiong stated, "I am very pleased that President Wu personally led the delegation to Indonesia today. Fujian Polytechnic Normal University is an old friend of ours, and we have always maintained close contact and a deep friendship with Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association. On behalf of the Chamber, I extend a warm welcome and sincere greetings to everyone!"

Zhang Jinxiong said, "Indonesia's total population has now exceeded 280 million, making it the fourth most populous country in the world. More than half of its population are young people under the age of 30, indicating a superior demographic dividend and huge market potential." As the largest economy in Southeast Asia, Indonesia has consistently maintained a GDP growth rate exceeding 5%, leading the region.

Meanwhile, Indonesia also boasts the largest overseas Chinese population globally, with 20 million of the 50 million overseas Chinese residing in Indonesia. Indonesian Chinese community shares deep historical ties with Fujianese communities. Over a century ago, Fujianese ancestors crossed oceans, spreading their diligence and wisdom to Indonesia, shaping a unique Chinese culture. Today, the Indonesian Chinese community has become a vital force in economic and social development, working harmoniously and mutually supporting other ethnic groups in Indonesia's economic construction, and laying a solid foundation for friendly cooperation between Indonesia and China.

Zhang Jinxiong pointed out that Sino-Indian economic and trade cooperation has flourished in recent years. Bilateral trade reached US$147.8 billion in 2024, with China remaining Indonesia's largest trading partner for 12 consecutive years. Last year, Chinese direct investment in Indonesia reached US$8.1 billion, a tenfold increase compared to 2014. Particularly under the alignment of the Belt and Road Initiative and Indonesia's "Global Maritime Fulcrum" strategy, landmark projects such as the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway and the "Two Countries, Two Parks" initiative have emerged, injecting strong momentum into Indonesia's economy. Indonesia is currently vigorously developing emerging fields such as the digital economy and green energy, leading to a growing demand for highly qualified personnel with professional skills, multilingual abilities, and cross-cultural communication skills.

Fujian Polytechnic Teachers College, located in Fuqing, a hometown of many overseas Chinese, boasts a strong academic foundation and has cultivated a large number of excellent teachers. It has played a positive role in Sino-Indonesian economic and trade cooperation and cultural exchange.

Zhang Jinxiong stated that Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association will continue to play its role as a bridge and link, providing necessary support and assistance for cultural exchanges between the two sides, and helping to elevate cooperation in the fields of culture, education, and trade between the two countries to a new level. He concluded by wishing everyone a successful and fruitful trip to Indonesia.

Dean Wu Keshou pointed out that Fujian Polytechnic Teachers College and Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association have a long-standing partnership. He sincerely invited everyone to take some time to return to Fuqing, Fujian to visit the college, learn about the spirit and work of the teachers and students, and emphasized the bond of Chinese culture. He hoped that more Chinese teachers and students would visit Indonesia for exchanges, and also welcomed more Indonesian Chinese students and outstanding young people from other ethnic groups to study in China.
