(Jakarta) Jiang Shan, Secretary of the Dehong Prefecture Party Committee of Yunnan Province, Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Management Committee of Ruili National Key Development and Opening Pilot Zone, Xie Jinxiang, Secretary of the Mangshi Municipal Party Committee of Dehong Prefecture, Yang Shiyong, Director of the Dehong Prefecture Commerce Bureau, Yang Aijun, Director of the Dehong Prefecture Culture and Tourism Bureau, and Yang Lijun, Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Dehong Prefecture People's Government, visited Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 14, 2025, and were warmly welcomed by Vice Presidents Chen Zhiming, Lian Jiehao, Chen Xin, Secretary-General Zhou Weiliang, Vice Presidents Weng Zuhui and Xu Changkuan, and Executive Director of the Youth Department Yao Hanbin.

Vice President Chen Zhiming said that Indonesia is located in the heart of Southeast Asia and has rich natural resources. It is an important producer of minerals, energy and agricultural products in the world. Indonesia is rich in mineral resources such as tin, nickel, copper, gold, and coal. In addition, it has vast tropical rainforests and rich fishery resources, which have laid a solid foundation for the country's economic development. As of 2025, Indonesia's population of about 286 million ranks fourth in the world, with a young population structure, abundant labor resources and huge market potential.

Chen Zhiming said that in recent years, the Indonesian government has continued to promote investment environment reforms, simplify foreign investment access procedures, shorten approval time limits, and is committed to creating a more efficient and transparent business environment. In the first quarter of 2025, Indonesia's GDP grew by 4.87% year-on-year, showing strong resilience against the backdrop of uncertainty in the global economy, demonstrating the vitality and potential of the Indonesian economy.
The government optimizes tax policies, promotes the "blue economy" and sustainable development strategies, actively attracts global capital to enter key areas such as infrastructure, manufacturing, and digital economy, and strives to achieve high-quality economic development.

Indonesia has always attached great importance to economic and trade cooperation and cultural exchanges with China. China has been Indonesia's largest trading partner for 12 consecutive years, and is also one of Indonesia's main sources of foreign investment. In 2024, the total trade volume between the two countries reached US$147.8 billion, and the direct investment of mainland China and Hong Kong in Indonesia reached US$8.1 billion and US$8.2 billion respectively. The investment covered a number of key areas such as infrastructure, manufacturing, digital economy, and green energy, fully demonstrating the complementarity of the two countries' economies and the resilience of cooperation.

On May 15 this year, Wang Ning, Secretary of the Yunnan Provincial Party Committee, held an Indonesian cultural tourism promotion conference in Jakarta with the theme of "There is a kind of life called Yunnan-'Colorful Yunnan Surrounding Tour'". Through this event, more Indonesian people have a deeper understanding of Yunnan's beautiful landscape and rich cultural heritage. We also look forward to more Indonesian tourists visiting Yunnan in the future to further promote the prosperity and development of the tourism industry in the two places.

Dehong Prefecture, Yunnan, is located on the China-Myanmar border and is an important open gateway in southwest China. It has a pleasant climate, rich resources, and produces high-quality rice, rubber, tea and tropical fruits. It is an important rubber and Pu'er tea production base in China. Dehong Prefecture actively develops cross-border trade, processing and manufacturing, and cultural tourism, and has become an important hub for connectivity between China and Southeast Asia. The integration of diverse ethnic cultures and beautiful ecological environment has formed a unique cultural charm and investment advantages, making Dehong a hotbed for investment, business development and win-win cooperation.

Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association will continue to actively promote economic and trade cooperation and cultural exchanges between our two places, and provide necessary support and assistance for everyone to invest and land in Indonesia. Finally, I wish all leaders and guests a smooth visit to Indonesia.

Jiang Shan, Secretary of the Dehong State Committee, pointed out that this visit is mainly to promote new opportunities for economic cooperation and exchanges between Yunnan and Indonesia, including promoting China-Indonesia economic cooperation and people-to-people exchanges, especially cooperation with Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association. It is hoped that through this exchange, the two sides can reach more exchange and cooperation agreements to promote the development of relations between Dehong, Yunnan, Indonesian enterprises and member units of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce. Continue to open up overseas markets and play a positive role in promoting economic cooperation between the two countries and promoting exchanges between the people of the two countries.
