Xue Tianzeng said that Indonesia is located in the core area of ​​Southeast Asia, with a population of 280 million, the fourth most populous country in the world, and the largest economy in ASEAN. In the first quarter of this year, Indonesia's economy grew by 4.87% year-on-year, and is expected to achieve a 5% growth target for the whole year. Indonesia's economy is mainly driven by domestic demand, and the huge young population brings a broad consumer market and growth potential. In recent years, the Indonesian government has continued to optimize the business environment, introduced a number of policies to attract foreign investment, relaxed market access for foreign investment, and provided a series of preferential policies such as tax exemptions and simplified approval in key areas such as manufacturing and digital economy, actively welcoming global investors including Chinese companies. This year, Indonesia officially became a BRICS country and reached free trade agreements with many countries. The advantages of regional cooperation are more prominent, and it has also opened up a broader market space for Chinese companies to invest and build factories in Indonesia.

 

As the forefront of China's reform and opening up, Dongguan is a world-renowned manufacturing base and an important export base in China. As a major global exporter of textiles and clothing, Indonesia is becoming an important hub of the international textile industry with its complete industrial chain, abundant and skilled labor resources, and significant cost advantages. Especially in the fields of Muslim clothing, sportswear and sustainable textiles, Indonesia has shown strong development potential.

 

Xue Tianzeng pointed out that we very much welcome the Dongguan Municipal Government and entrepreneurs to visit Indonesia frequently for inspection and exchange, bring Dongguan's advanced technology and experience to Indonesia, and use Indonesia's location advantages and radiation capabilities to expand ASEAN and even larger overseas markets. Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association will continue to give full play to the platform advantages of the Chamber of Commerce and provide necessary support and assistance for everyone's cooperation.
