Xue Tianzeng said that Indonesia, as the largest economy in Southeast Asia, has a population of 280 million and is the fourth most populous country in the world. It is also a member of the G20 and the core force of ASEAN. In recent years, Indonesia's economy has maintained a stable growth of about 5% per year, and the consumer market has great potential.
In terms of economic and trade policies, the Indonesian government continues to optimize the business environment and relax foreign investment access through the "New Investment List", especially in the fields of manufacturing, digital economy, medical health and green energy, to attract more foreign investment and promote domestic economic development. These measures provide excellent opportunities for Chinese companies to develop in Indonesia.
This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between India and China, and the relationship between the two countries is at its best in history. China has been Indonesia's largest trading partner for 12 consecutive years and has been among the top three sources of investment in Indonesia for 9 consecutive years.
Last year, the total bilateral trade volume between the two countries reached US$147.8 billion, mainland China's investment in Indonesia reached US$8.1 billion, and Hong Kong's investment reached US$8.2 billion, covering key areas such as new energy, digital economy, and infrastructure. These cooperations have not only created jobs and growth for the two countries, but also played an important role in the coordination of regional industrial chains.
Xue Tianzeng further pointed out that on behalf of Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association, I sincerely invite outstanding enterprises in Sichuan to bring your advanced technology, mature experience and strong funds to find cooperation opportunities, inspect industrial parks, connect with potential partners, invest and build factories in Indonesia, and jointly explore the vast market in Southeast Asia. Indonesia not only has abundant labor and resources, but also has regional trade advantages, and uses Indonesia as a springboard to radiate the world to the ASEAN market.
