Chen Bonian said, "Indonesia and China have had close economic and trade cooperation since ancient times. Now, because of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, the new era is full of vitality. As one of the most important partner countries along the Belt and Road, First, in the past few years, we have also seen firsthand the cooperation and development between the two countries. "
Since 2016, China has become Indonesia's third-largest source of investment. In the first half of 2019, China's implemented investment from mainland China reached US $ 2.29 billion. In 2018, the bilateral trade volume between Indonesia and China reached US $ 69.64 billion, a year-on-year increase of 22.5%. China has been Indonesia's largest international trading partner for several years. In 2018, more than 2 million business travelers came from China. China and Indonesia are in close cooperation in many aspects such as regional affairs, economic and trade cooperation, social and cultural exchanges.
Chen Bonian said that Tsinghua University and Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association have always had a good communication mechanism. We also hope that such a platform will continue, and hope that Tsinghua's teachers will lead students to visit Indonesia in the summer or winter vacation, and young Indonesian students also go to Tsinghua to exchange ideas, learn from each other, and discuss their experiences. Yang Yongheng pointed out that our current visit to Indonesia is mainly to promote cooperation projects between China and Indonesia, and to introduce to you the first and only dual master degree program in Asia in terms of Master of Business Administration (EMBA) and Master of Public Administration (MPA). This is a joint project between the School of Public Administration of Tsinghua University and the City University of Hong Kong. I hope to get the recommendation from the leaders of Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association.
