“One Belt, One Road” Medical Health Industry Cooperation Forum Successfully Held
(Jakarta) The 2018 “Belt and Road” Medical Health Industry Cooperation Forum organized by the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Healthcare Products, November 29 (Thursday) from 10 am to 4:30 pm at JI Expo in Jakarta, 6th Floor, Exhibition Trade Center Building was held. The forum was divided into two parts. Forum 1: The opportunity for cooperation between traditional botanical medicines and health products. Forum 2: China-ASEAN medical device industry cooperation.
After the opening speech of Zhou Hui, President of the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Health Care Products, Bahdar Hamid spoke about the development status and access policies of traditional Indonesian botanicals. Lin Long, Vice President of the Malaysian Chinese Medicine and Health Products Association, spoke about the Malaysian traditional medicine and health products industry policy and market opportunities. Chen Li, President of the Singapore China Healthcare Products Association, spoke about the development of Singapore's Chinese medicine health products and the opportunities for cooperation. Cai Bin, deputy director of the Thai Association of Chinese Physicians and Director of the Department of Science and Technology, spoke about the development status and market opportunities of traditional Chinese botanicals. Director Yu Zhibin, Chinese Medicines Department of the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Medicines and Health Products, gave a lecture on traditional Chinese medicine regulatory policies and market opportunities.
Forum 2 started from 2:30 pm, and Sugihadi Hadiwinoto, President of the Indonesian Medical Device and Laboratory Association, spoke about the Indonesian medical device industry policy and development trend. Deputy Director of the Department of Medical Devices, China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Medicines and Health Products. Liu Fudong, deputy secretary general of the China Hospital Association, gave an interview on the management and procurement process of Chinese hospitals. Fredrik Nyberg, CEO of Asia Pacific Medical Technology Association, spoke about ASEAN's medical technology industry trends and development interpretation. Dr. Hu Fukang from Mai Xiang Indonesia Consulting Services Co., Ltd. shared the registration requirements for the Indonesian medical device market and regulations.
Project Manager Paul Kingsen said that the China-ASEAN Pharmaceutical (Indonesia) Brand Show will showcase both traditional health products and advanced medical equipment, demonstrating that traditional values ​​can coexist with technology. China has actively invited ASEAN companies to jointly develop the potential of traditional medicine.
The drug brand show became a platform to showcase products and services in the medical and health sectors, using the latest technology to make Indonesia a focal point for cooperation between China and the ASEAN health industry. The exhibition is fully supported by the Chinese government, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce and the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Healthcare Products. As the China International Healthcare Industry Association, the exhibition is dedicated to promoting cooperation in the global healthcare sector.
He said that he hopes that this exhibition will become a platform for policy dialogue to minimize barriers to entry into the health industry market and to conduct business cooperation within the scope of investment and technology transfer. The market for pharmaceutical products and health products in Indonesia is growing rapidly as the health industry has been evolving and there is always a need to update the technology of medical equipment and medicines.
