Zhang Qianjiang, deputy director of the Party Committee of the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce, led a delegation of more than 30 governments and enterprises from the Zhejiang Business Delegation to attend the meeting and deliver a speech. The Chinese Embassy in Indonesia was involved in the business, and the Executive Vice President of Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association, Zhang Jinxiong, and other well-known Chinese political and business representatives from Indonesia attended the meeting and had a lively exchange and interaction with the Zhejiang representatives. More than 70 people attended the event by the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia, the Zhejiang Representative Office in Singapore (Southeast Asia), the representative of the Zheshang Society of Indonesia, and representatives of Zhejiang enterprises that have invested in Indonesia.
Deputy Director Zhang Qianjiang expressed his gratitude to the Embassy for its business participation and Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association for their concern and support for Zhejiang enterprises to invest in Indonesia. It also introduced the economic and social development of Zhejiang Province. In 2018, Zhejiang's GDP was about 840 billion US dollars, and the import and export exceeded 400 billion US dollars. It has the world's largest port, Ningbo Zhoushan Port, with a total cargo throughput of 1.08 billion tons. With a throughput of 24 million TEUs, it is one of the most developed provinces in China.
The Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government attach great importance to the opening work of the province, actively participate in the construction of the “Belt and Road” and promote the construction of overseas economic and trade cooperation parks. There are 4 state-level overseas cooperation parks and 8 provincial-level overseas cooperation parks to promote Zhejiang. Positive industries have achieved positive results in international capacity cooperation. It also highlighted the key projects of cooperation between Zhejiang and Indonesia, such as Jinjiang Group and Qingshan Holdings. In the introduction, Deputy Director Zhang Qianjiang pointed out that Indonesia has abundant natural resources and developed labor market. Indonesian Chinese entrepreneurs have similar feelings, relatives and complementary industries in Zhejiang, and have good cooperation and development potential with Zhejiang, especially in co-establishing foreign trade. There are many opportunities for discussion and in-depth research in the cooperative park.
Zhang Jinxiong, Executive Vice President of Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association, introduced the basic situation of Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association, the overall business environment in Indonesia and the development of Chinese businessmen in Indonesia. He said that Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association will provide good services and assistance to Zhejiang enterprises in investing in Indonesia, and respond positively to the promotion of international capacity cooperation proposed by Deputy Director Zhang Qianjiang.
Zhang Handong, the chief representative of the Zhejiang Representative Office in Singapore (Southeast Asia), gave a brief introduction to the role of the representative office in the “going out” of Zhejiang enterprises in Southeast Asia. He said that the Singapore (Southeast Asia) Center will further participate in the “Belt and Road” construction for Zhejiang enterprises. ,provide excellent service.
Representatives from Hangzhou Jinjiang Group, Qingshan Iron and Steel Group, Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association and representatives of the parks that have invested in Indonesia, Hua Xia Hsing, gave presentations, shared their experiences in investing in Indonesia, and shared business opportunities and cooperation opportunities. In the free communication session, members of the business delegation, Zhejiang entrepreneurs, and the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia participated in the business. Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association has had a warm communication and exchanges with Indonesian investment and cooperation companies to understand the business environment in Indonesia and to find cooperation opportunities.
