Indonesia is the largest economy in Southeast Asia and the fourth most populous country in the world, with a total population of approximately 280 million, the median age is less than 30 years old, and the labor force aged 15-64 accounts for nearly 70% of the total population. The huge demographic dividend, rich natural resources, stable business environment, and open and friendly investment policies have made Indonesia, an emerging economy, an "investment hotspot" that has attracted much attention from international capital!

In an environment of global economic downturn and increasing uncertainty, Indonesia's economic development still maintains a long-term stable growth of more than 5%. Last year, Indonesia's GDP increased by 5.05% year-on-year, and its total GDP reached 208.924 trillion rupiah, which is approximately 1.39 trillion U.S. dollars. In the just-announced economic data of ASEAN countries in the first half of 2024, Indonesia continues to lead ASEAN countries with a total GDP of US$680.4 billion and a growth rate of 5.08%.

Indonesia has always attached great importance to exchanges and cooperation with China. China has been Indonesia's largest trading partner for 11 consecutive years. Last year, the bilateral trade volume between the two countries reached US$139.4 billion, an increase of nearly three times in ten years. At the same time, China's direct investment in Indonesia has also grown steadily. In 2023, direct investment from mainland China and Hong Kong in Indonesia will reach US$7.4 billion and US$6.5 billion respectively. China has also become Indonesia's second largest source of investment for many consecutive years. .

Over the years, we are also very happy to see many companies from China going abroad to invest and establish businesses in Indonesia. Currently, there are more than a thousand Chinese-funded companies in Indonesia, actively investing in infrastructure, industrial parks, Nickel mine, new energy and electric vehicle industry chain, etc. These investments not only promote local economic development in Indonesia and provide millions of jobs, but also provide Chinese companies with vast overseas markets and development opportunities.
